Dario Fredrick is the founder and owner of the Whole Athlete Performance Center. Having worked extensively with endurance athletes of all levels since 1994, Dario created Whole Athlete with the goal of integrating the disciplines of exercise science, biomechanics, sport psychology, nutrition, and Yoga to help athletes take a holistic approach to optimal performance.
In 2009 he founded the Whole Athlete Development Team, serving as Director, co-Director and Head Coach over a ten-year span. Dario is no stranger to bike racing himself and has competed extensively in road, gravel and mountain bike events – having dabbled in competitive swimming and triathlon as well.
In the area of applied sports science, Dario developed and validated a unique performance test protocol for cyclists, providing a non-invasive, accurate measurement of cycling training zones using power and heart rate. He has contributed articles to VeloNews, Cyclingnews.com, Bicycling Magazine, and Yoga Journal, and has served as the Physiological Advisor to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and the NorCal High School MTB League.
