Steven
Cozza (Garmin-Chipotle), finishes a strong top-10 at the Nevada
City Classic. Former Whole Athlete coach, Justin England (Toyota
United) takes his second victory in this historic event.
In
the week following, Cozza went on to finish top-10 overall in the
Tour de Nez NRC Stage Race, including top-10 finishes in all but
one stage. Steve raced solo for his team against the full-squad,
top Pro teams in the US.

in a star-studded field, this time in the time trial stage of the
Nature Valley Grand Prix. Not bad for a sprinter!

Kim
Ladd (Code 3 Racing) wins the Mt. Hamilton Road Race, thus taking
the NorCal Women's Cat 4 RR Championship. The win at Mt. Hamilton
marked Kim's upgrade to the 3's. She promptly took 3rd place in
her first race as a Cat 3 in the Memorial Crit the folowing day.

John Benett (Whole Athlete Cycling Team)
will be racing the 2008 MTB XC World
Championships in Italy in June! By winning the NMBS Santa Ynez
Junior XC race - held as a world's team qualifier - John automatically
earned a place on the US National Team. To finish off an already
successful weekend, the day after the Santa Ynez victory, John clinched
the overall NorCal Varsity series with a strong finish in the NorCal
final race of the season. |

Shelley
Olds (Team Proman), in her first road race of 2008, finishes on
the podium in the women's NRC
Sea Otter Circuit Race with an impressive 2nd place. Shelley
bridged to an 11-woman break with only a few laps remaining, and
although she was outnumbered by other teams, she kept her cool.
Tiffany Cronwell (Colavita Olive Oil/Sutterhome) attacked the break
to win solo, while Shelley won the group sprint for 2nd. |

Cat. 4 field. At the end of a very competitive event, Kim positioned
herself perfectly to unleash a powerful sprint, taking her first

the NBMS Junior EXPERT 16 & under MTB cross country race at
Fontana, CA by over 11 minutes! With this victory, Will qualifies
to race in the national championships in July. The following day,
he finished a strong 4th place in the NorCal MTB varsity race at
Grant's Ranch against much older riders. Way to go, Will!

CCCX cross country MTB race at Ft. Ord, California. At 15 years
old, he was not only the first overall expert finisher, but finished
top-5 in the pro/semi-pros as well.

Cozza (Team Slipstream)
shows why he is one of the best up and coming young American time
trialists in the European peleton with a strong 7th place in the
opening
stage of the Vuelta a Castilla y León in Spain. Only
25 seconds slower than stage winner and '07 Tour de France winner
Alberto Contador (Astana), Steven is on track in his preparation
for the upcoming Spring Classics. Watch for Steven and Team Slipstream
at the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix next month!

week after a solid ride at the Belgian classic Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne,
Steven
Cozza (Team Slipstream)
has a strong showing at the Monte
Paschi Eroica in Tuscany as one of three Slipstream riders to
finish in the top-16. His impression of the race and his growing
form was evident by his post-race reaction: "Todays race
was amazing. I've never felt so good on a bike. I started every
dirt section in the worst position and just rode past guys like
Bettini like they were standing still. It was so awesome. I finally
believe I'm capable of winning a race like this if I can just position
myself better. I'm totally stoked." |

15, Davis's time put him in the top-3 Expert 19-34 field.

6 of the 2008 Tour of California. Despite recovering from the
stomach flu suffered after a
strong top-10 finish in the prologue,
he initiated and motored the six-man, day-long breakaway - only
to be caught on the final finishing circuit.
