Will
started cycling seriously when he was about 16. He began to
race seriously in his last year in high school (1998) moving
from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3. The following year he started school
at UC Santa Cruz, during the early season upgrading to Cat
2 on the road and later Cat 2 on the track. Over the next
five years Will earned degrees in Business Management Economics
and Electrical Engineering all while racing full time.
Shortly
before his graduation from UCSC (Spring 03), Will began working
with Dario at Whole Athlete and using an SRM power meter.
Since starting the program he has realized large gains by
utilizing the SRM and a power-based training program.
Will's other sporting accomplishments include a Black Belt
in Tae Kwon Do earned at age 11, and amateur skiing racing
for the Squaw Valley Development team.
